Attention FVHP past and current members:
Please join FVHP's president Bonnie Nickasch, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC and Emily Dodge, BSN, RN (DNP-FNP student, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh) by participating in their research project entitled 'Factors that Influence Nurse Practitioner Retention' by filling out a quantitative survey (see link below) and participating in a qualitative interview. The quantitative survey consists of 44 questions surrounding NP job satisfaction and is anticipated to take approximately15 minutes to complete; the qualitative interview consists of 3 questions and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. If interested you may participate in one or both of the above portions of the research study. The study will continue until data saturation is obtained.
The results of the survey will be anonymous and only aggregate data will be shared with local health care organizations. It is our hope that by collecting this data and sharing results with those in charge of hiring (and retaining) NPs that Nurse Practitioner voices will be heard surrounding current NP wages, benefits, and working conditions. By sharing these results healthcare administrators will have a better understanding of the factors that influence NP job satisfaction and ideally they will develop strategies that will lead to increased nurse practitioner job satisfaction and retention.
